Forest City men killed in SUV crash

Two Forest City men were killed when their S-U-V crashed into a delivery truck in Cerro Gordo County. Katie Fetterly reports the wreck happened at the intersection of two gravel roads — an intersection with no stop signs in either direction.Twenty-four-year-old Jacob Putney and 22-year-old Justin Lunning were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-year-old Jason Roberts, a passenger in the S-U-V, was seriously injured and flown from the scene to a hospital in Mason City. He was later transferred to a hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. No condition report is available this morning. The three were riding in an S-U-V Monday morning at about 10 o’clock when they collided with a delivery truck. The driver of the delivery vehicle was not injured.
