Dubuque police hope to end body under pool rumor

August 2, 2005 By admin

Dubuque police are hoping to confirm or put to rest a rumor about a body being buried under a local hotel swimming pool. Police had some leads that the body of 23-year-old Patricia “Stacy” Spahn of East Dubuque, Illinois is buried under the pool at the Best Western Dubuque Inn. However, police never had enough evidence to warrant a search. No the hotel and it’s pool are being torn down, and police will have a chance to see if anything is buried at the spot. Spahn was reported missing in February of 1975. She was last seen leaving a tavern to go to a party with two unidentified men.
