Former Crawford County employee gets $10,000 from county

August 9, 2005 By admin

The Crawford County Board of Supervisors has approved a settlement with a former county employee who had filed a claim after being fired earlier this year. Board members voted to settle a claim filed by Sherri Vaughn, a former employee of the auditor’s office. Vaughn had filed a claim with the county for $10,000 as compensation for lost wages and benefits from the time of her discharge in January to the end of the fiscal year on June 30th. In making the claim, Vaughn’s attorney indicated that the county did not give notice or a reason for the discharge. The county submitted the claim to its insurance carrier with the county having to pay a total deductible amount of $5000.
