August 12, 2005 By admin

A northwest Iowa man’s accused of knowingly transmitting the HIV virus without telling his partner. Spirit Lake police say 31-year-old Dwayne Boyd of Milford is charged with criminal transmission of HIV and possession of methamphetamine. Officers say Boyd had sexual contact with the woman on three different occasions between August 1 and August tenth but failed to inform the victim of his condition. Police say they also found some meth on him as he was being taken into custody. Investigation’s continuing as officers look for other possible victims. Criminal transmission of the HIV virus is a Class B felony. Boyd’s being held in the Dickinson County jail.
