Farmland expanding Denison plant

The Farmland Foods plant in Denison will undergo an 81-million dollar expansion project that will add 219 jobs when the plant’s complete in mid-2007. Construction will get underway on the 165,000 square foot addition to the plant which will allow for more processing of pork sausage, ham slicing and hot dogs. The expansion will also allow for the processing of 11-hundred-50 more hogs per day, boosting the plant’s capacity to 10-thousand-350 hogs.
