ISU advises you to leave early for big game

September 7, 2005 By admin

Iowa State University are advising football fans to get to Ames early and get into the stadium early for Saturday’s Iowa-Iowa State matchup. Cyclone athletic director Bruce VandeVelde says fans should use other routes into Ames because traffic will be heavy on highway 30 and the Elwood Drive exit. He says once you arrive, you should get into the stadium as soon as possible. He says if you wait until 20 minutes before kickoff, you’ll miss the kickoff. VandeVelde says added security will be on hand because of the sellout crowd and parking lots and the stadium will open earlier than normal. He says fans will be able to park in a number of locations on the ISU campus. VandeVelde says all the on-campus parking will be available at no charge. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 in Jack Trice Stadium.
