An Irving, Texas, business plans to move its production and service operation to Mason City. L-X-I Corporation helps other businesses store and secure data. L-X-I president and C-E-O Nancy Oliver expects the operation to be up and running in Mason City in October or November. Oliver says they hope to add 43 new jobs over the next three years. “That really is a conservative estimate,” she says. “We’re really hoping to do better than that.” Initially, L-X-I plans to rent space in downtown Mason City. The City of Mason City has applied for a quarter of a million dollar loan from the state on the company’s behalf.
