There’s been a settlement in the lawsuit over a teenager’s alleged hole in one at a charity golf tournament in Norwalk. In June of 2003, then-19-year-old Adam Fisher of Cedar Rapids paid five dollars to hit a second “do-over” or mulligan shot from the tee box. His second shot off the tee popped right in the hole and Fisher claimed he was due the 10-thousand dollar prize for sinking a hole-in-one. The Iowa F-F-A Foundation which sponsored the tournament at the Legacy Golf Course in Norwalk disagreed, and the matter wound up in court this week. The case was argued Monday and the jury was given the case this (Tuesday) afternoon, but before their verdict was returned, the two sides had reached a settlement, but details of that settlement haven’t been released.
