Iowa State ready for national exposure at West Point

The Iowa State Cyclones get national exposure and their first road test of the season tonight when the visit Army. The Cyclones are 2-0 and ranked 21st nationally and coach Dan McCarney will find out if his team has what it takes to win on the road. McCarney says they see if they have leadership, mental focus, maturity and the ability to carry over the intensity from playing at home to the road.Army is 0-2 but played well in a 20-10 loss to Baylor last week. McCarney says they’re close to putting it all together and they’ll want to put it together tonight. McCarney says the Cyclones will play a disciplined opponent in a great atmosphere. He says they’ll have four thousand cadets in the stadium to cheer for them and he says there’s a great amount of patriotism involved.Kickoff is at seven Iowa time. The game will be televised by ESPN-2.
