Man linked with Floyd girl’s murder will stay in jail

October 4, 2005 By admin

A man linked to a slain rural Floyd girl will stay in the Linn County jail until his December trial. A prosecutor at Casey Frederickson’s bail hearing asked that he not be allowed to bond out of jail, saying the 26-year-old Frederickson had admitted repeatedly molesting a girl when he was 13, and had hundreds of images of children engaged in sex acts on his computer when investigators seized it. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Berry said that computer had been hidden during the search for Evelyn Miller. Frederickson lives with the girl’s mother and was home babysitting her and the couple’s two young sons the night Miller disappeared from their home. Her body was found a week later a couple miles outside town. Frederickson’s trial is set for December 5.
