The trial date for 39-year-old Brian Street of Griswold on charges of sexual exploitation of minors, has been changed. Street was scheduled to appear in court next Monday to face multiple charges of exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography, but with the continuance, that means his trial won’t begin until October 31st. . Street is accused of sexually abusing his step-daughters, 17-year old Tracey and 13-year old Jessica Dyess. Jessica and six-year old Kaleb Dyess died in a March 31st fire that was allegedly set by Tracey, in an attempt to kill her stepfather. She’s scheduled to appear before a Cass County jury October 25th, to face charges that include two-counts of murder, two-counts of attempted murder, and arson. Her attorney says Dyess will plead insanity. A hearing will be held next week on a defense motion to have the case transferred to juvenile court, a move that was rejected last April. Dyess’ attorney will also ask the court to suppress any statement or confession Tracey may have given, on the grounds it may have been obtained unconstitutionally.
