Company unveils plans for oil pipeline across Iowa

November 7, 2005 By admin

Officials from Trans-Canada Corporation today will unveil details of a proposed regional oil pipeline during an open house today (Monday) in Harlan. The company’s planning to build an 1,800-mile-long “Keystone Pipeline” from Canada southward through the Dakotas into Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. Company representatives will be at Harlan’s Veterans Auditorium from 4 till 8 this (Monday) evening to give stakeholders detailed information about the project — including the need for the pipeline, environmental field work, pipeline design, public consultation efforts, and pipeline operations and safety. They’ll hold more informational meetings in Akron, Anthan and Creston, as well as communities in South Dakota, Missouri and Illinois.
