It isn’t often somebody calls authorities and asks to be arrested, but that’s what happened early this (Tuesday) morning in northwest Iowa. Clay County deputies say 50-year-old Gary Graham, Junior, of Webb called the sheriff’s office and insisted on being arrested for his own safety. Deputies tried to convince Graham to change his mind, but they weren’t successful. So, authorities went to Webb and found Graham standing in the middle of the road, waiting to be arrested. Deputies say he was drunk. They arrested him and put him in jail. He’ll make an appearance before a magistrate soon.
