A historic candy company that bought Creston’s gummy-bear factory last June will sell it. The Wrigley Company had been looking for a buyer for the Trolli Gummy Candy brand, and the Creston facilty.

The plan is to sell them to Farley’s & Sathers candy company of Round Lake, Minnesota. A press release from the Wrigley company indicates the approximately 150 employees will transfer with the business, and they expect the transaction will be completed by mid-December.

Michelle Graber, spokesperson for Farley’s and Sathers, said that buying the Creston facility will allow them to expand their non-chocolate-manufacturing facilities. Graber says there is no plan to expand the workforce at the Creston facility. In addition to the Minnesota offices, Farley’s and Sathers have facilities located in Chattanooga Tennessee, Des Plaines Illinois, and Reynosa Mexico which employ approximately 1-thousand people combined.
