Drake wins to go to 2-0

November 23, 2005 By admin

Drake got 16 points from Ajay Calvin in just 18 minutes of playing time as the Bulldogs rolled past Shawnee State 85-36 last night in Des Moines. Drake coach Tom Davis says the bench played well and that led to the lopsided score. He says the guys coming off the bench had not been playing that efficiently, but he says they played pretty well in the game. That was a second round game in the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational. The Bulldogs head to Vegas where the schedule gets much more difficult on Friday when they meet tenth ranked Boston College.
