Oakland bank robbed

November 24, 2005 By admin

Authorities in western Iowa are investigating a bank robbery. Pottawatamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker says it happened Wednesday just before 11 AM at the Citizens State Bank. The suspect took off in a van, with an undetermined amount of cash. Sheriff’s deputies later found the van unoccupied in a field, near a bridge west of Oakland. Bank workers tell investigators the robber was a white man, between 5-feet-8 and five-ten, weighed about 140 pounds, and wore a mask when he robbed them. Anybody who can help solve it could call the Omaha FBI office at (402) 493-8688 or a local law-enforcement agency.
