Turkey Trot banishes Thanksgiving morning chill in Webster City

November 24, 2005 By admin

Runners and walkers braved the cold Thanksgiving morning for a “Turkey Trot” sponsored by the Webster City Recreation Department and a local running club. Recreation Department worker Mark Glasscock was pleased to see the turnout on a sunny but chilly morning. As cold as it was, he says 97 participants signed up, from many surrounding communities and their friends and relatives as well. Runners and walkers donated food to a Webster City pantry. The winning time was about 18 minutes.
