Coe gets off to good start under new coach

December 1, 2005 By admin

The Coe College men’s basketball team has adjusted to a new coach in a hurry. The Kohawks are 4-1 under first-year coach Pat Juckem, who says they’ve continued to get better and better each game. Juckem says the team is a mix of youth and experience. He says they have a couple sophomores in the lineup, but everyone has played a little and he says that game experience has come in handy in close ballgames.Coe opened the Iowa Conference race this week with a lopsided win over previously unbeaten Dubuque and Juckem says it was a confidence booster for his team. He says they don’t play another conference game until January 10th, so they have to site on this one for awhile.
