Iowa Wesleyan hosts basketball tourney

December 1, 2005 By admin

Three college basketball teams will be in Mount Pleasant this weekend as Iowa Wesleyan hosts its annual Kiwanis Classic. Iowa Wesleyan coach Alan Magnani says they have Grace University of Omaha, Clarke College of Dubuque and Mount Mercy of Cedar Rapids. Games are Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Wesleyan is off to a 6-1 start and the Tigers are one of the top rebounding teams in the country. He says in order to get up and down the court you have to rebound. He says teams that have high rebound margins over their opponents are traditionally successful. Magnani says their goal is always to be in the top ten in rebound margin.
