With final exams out of the way big four college basketball resumes this weekend. the Iowa Hawkeyes return to action on Saturday by hosting Arizona State. the Hawks will be without senior guard Jeff Horner against but the rehab on his injured knee is going well and coach Steve Alford says he could be back sooner than the January fourth Big Ten opener at Wisconsin. Alford says Horner has made great progress and he hopes to have him back by the St. Louis game.

Alford says the medical staff has not mentioned a return date to him. Alford says he knows things are going well, as he can see Horner progressing. But Alford says he’s not going to put a time limit on Horner’s return.
