Two brothers from eastern Iowa have been indicted in connection with a murder in Minnesota last November. A Ramsey County grand jury has returned first-degree murder charges against 22-year-old Jaramy Alford and his 17-year-old brother, Luis. The two are accused in the stabbing and beating death of 32-year-old Douglas Miller. The Alford brothers were living with Miller in a suburb of the Twin Cities. They allegedly killed him and then set the home on fire when he told them to move out because they were stealing from him and not paying rent. Police say after the killing, the two fled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where they were later apprehended. The 17-year-old, Luis, will be tried as an adult. Both brothers were also charged with arson.
