Storm Lake man jailed in North Carolina

January 19, 2006 By admin

A Storm Lake man who was wanted in connection with three shooting incidents last week is jailed in North Carolina. 25-year-old Juaquin Pineda was arrested yesterday in Greensboro. After learning he was in the area, Storm Lake police began working with the North Carolina Fugitive Task Force, which led to Pineda’s arrest in the parking lot of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant. Pineda is accused of illegally entering a home in Storm Lake, holding a gun to a victim’s head and making threats before the shooting began. He’s charged with burglary, intimidation with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. He’s being held on a quarter-million dollars bond in North Carolina until he’s extradited back to Iowa.
