It has not taken John Grotberg to adapt to coach Dave Arsenault’s high scoring system at Grinnell College. The freshman guard from Ann Arbor, Michigan is the leading scorer in college basketball by averaging just over 31-points per game for the 9-3 Pioneers. Grotberg was a good scorer in the high school ranks, but says not at this magnitude. Grotberg did not play his senior season because of an injury.

Grotberg feels he is perfectly suited for the Grinnell system. He says he loves it and it’s similar to what he play in high school. Grotberg says he first came in contact with Grinnell his junior year of high school. He says he was looking at Grinnell for the academics and he sent an e-mail to ask the coach about the system. He says he came to watch a game and fell in love with it.

The Pioneers return to action at home on Saturday afternoon against Lake Forest.
