The Drake women are at home this evening to play Valley leader Indiana State. The Bulldogs are 4-3 in the conference after dropping both ends of a road trip last week and will be looking to end the Sycamores 13-game win streak.

Drake coach Amy Stephens says they need an unbelieveable defensive effort and have to shoot the ball well, something she says they haven’t done this year. She says limiting Indiana State’s high scoring offense is a key. Stephens says that’s tough because I-S-U has so many weapons.

Sycamore coach Jim Wiede expects to meet a motivated Bulldog team. He says teams can get complacent when they get on a streak and he says that’s sometimes worse when you are on the road.

Beating Drake on the road has been all but impossible for the Sycamores who have only beaten Drake once in Des Moines. Wiede says this is a better road team this year and he thinks that’s because of the experience of his seniors. Indiana State is 7-0 in the Valley.
