Iowa women visit Penn State

January 26, 2006 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women close out the first half of the Big Ten race tonight with a visit to Penn State. The Hawkeyes are 5-3 in conference play and with no game this weekend will get some much needed time off. Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says the team is a little tired and she says it’ll be good to only have to focus on one game this week. She says the Nittany Lions will provide a tough challenge despite their 2-5 record in the Big Ten. Bluder says Penn State is much better than their record indicates as they’ve played five games on the road.Iowa is 12-7 overall.
