Upper Iowa men’s basketball coach resigns

February 2, 2006 By admin

Upper Iowa men’s basketball coach Dave Martin has resigned but will finish out the season on the bench. Martin has led the program as it moved from the division three to the division two ranks but the Peacocks have struggled to a 2-22 record this season.

Upper Iowa athletic director Gil Cloud says the search for a new coach is already underway and he would like to find someone with experience at the division two or division one level. Cloud says they must advertise the opening for 30-days but they want to have a coach in place soon after. Martin has been the head coach at Upper Iowa for six years.
