A week off paid dividends for Iowa State. After three frustrating losses at home in the Big-12 the Cyclones took out their frustrations on Colorado in a 96-79 romp in Ames on Sunday. Curtis Stinson had the third triple-double in I-S-U history. He finished with 24 points, ten rebounds and 10 assists as the Cyclones evened their conference mark at 4-4 and improved to 14-7 overall.

Stinson on the postgame show on the Cyclone Network says they wanted to get together and to the right thing to win. He says they let a lot of games slip away, and they wanted to come out and not let their foot off the gas in this game.

He says the Cyclones were successful because they got the ball inside. Stinson says the coaches emphasized being patient and getting the good shots.
I-S-U visits Kansas State on Wednesday night.
