Iowa State coach Wayne Morgan called it a tough one to swallow. The Cyclones were outscored 7-0 last night at Kansas State to open the second half in a 66-63 Big-12 loss. I-S-U led by four at the halftime break but K-State surged in front in the second half by dominating the Cyclones on the glass. Morgan on his postgame show on the Cyclone Network says it’s very difficult to beat anybody if you get outrebounded by 14 in a half. Morgan says they played hard, but made some mistakes and didn’t get the game.

Curtis Stinson led Iowa State with 22 points and said the Cyclones let one get away. He says they had their chances and let it slip away by doing things they normally don’t do. Stinson says the Wildcats were more aggressive to begin the second half. He says they knew K-State would come out and attack and he says they got the tempo their way, but lost it again. Stinson says they didn’t take the chance to blow the game out when they had it. I-S-U drops to 4-5 in the Big-12 and 14-8 overall.
The Cyclones continue their road swing this weekend at Kansas.
