Iowa women host Northwestern

February 9, 2006 By admin

The Iowa women return to action at home against Northwestern. Hawkeye coach Lisa Bluder is concerned about her team’s mental approach to this game. The Hawks posted a blowout victory in their first meeting at Northwestern. Bluder says that’s every coach’s nightmare, to face that team you blew out and worry about your team taking them for granted on the home court.

Bluder says the games have been closer in Iowa City. Bluder says last year’s example should be good, and she says Northwestern has won two games recently, which should awaken her team a little bit. Iowa is 6-4 in the Big Ten and 13-8 overall.
