The Coe College men take a one game lead in the Iowa Conference basketball race on the road to play Loras, tonight. The Kohawks are 10-2 in the league race and have a one game lead over Wartburg. Coe coach Pat Juchem says they’re excited to be in this position and he says every game is a “knock-down drag out affair.”

The Kohawks have won ten straight games at home. How they fare on the road will determine whether or not they win the league title. He says the next three games are on the road and he says they’ll have to be tough mentally and physically. He says they’re excited about the opportunity.

Coe beat Loras 78-71 in their first matchup in Cedar Rapids. Juchem says both teams are hard nosed and play tough defense. He says he expects a 40-minute battle that could come down to the final shot. Loras is tied for third in the league race with a record of 7-5.
