A southeast Iowa factory faces a stiff penalty after a workplace death last fall. The last year at the Cargill Meat Solutions plant in Ottumwa killed one worker and is bringing an 80-thousand dollar fine.

Forty-one-year-old Paul McCrory of Ottumwa was killed on November 16th when a conveyor system collapsed on him. OSHA officials said Cargill did not furnish a place of employment that was free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm.
