Twenty people in Clinton this morning (Tuesday) told what it felt like to learn they’d be sharing a prize of over 667-thousand dollars from Saturday’s PowerBall drawing. They work together at a medical laboratory, where worker Beth Determan says they chip in every week to buy shared tickets.

She says she dreamed her dad was handing her money from a lottery win, so she told her co-workers they were going to win. One joked, “We love dad.”
Determan says her dad liked to go on gambling boats and she says he was part of their luck and “Besides, God blessed us.”

While they were posing for photos and the ceremony was being recorded for a new lottery commercial, her co-workers in the “Medical Association Luck-20” credited Determan with organizing the weekly ticket purchase for the last three years.

Several chimed in that she’s purchased the tickets and “kept the faith” by assuring all that they’d win. “We love ya, Beth,” they cheered. Determan said that typically the group buys ten tickets, but purchased 53 for Saturday’s drawing, all using the quick pick option. The twenty lab technicians have already collected their checks for 23-thousand, 350-dollars each after taxes.
