I-S-U women host Colorado on senior night

March 1, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State women will try to close out the home season with a victory on Thursday when they take on Colorado. It will be the final home game for Cyclone seniors Brittany Wilkins and Kandice Beenken.

I-S-U coach Bill Fennelly says it’ll be emotional and hard to send off people who have done so much for the school. Fennelly says you have to worry about the players getting so emotional that it makes it hard to play. He says they hope to send the seniors out on a winning note, as it’s more fun to win your last game and play well.
The Cyclones are 6-9 in the Big 12 and 15-11 overall.
