U-N-I gives McDermott a raise

March 2, 2006 By admin

U-N-I wants to hang on to basketball coach Greg McDermott and has given him a pay hike. McDermott’s salary will increase to more than 350-thousand dollars by the 1008-2009 season. The contract has several performance based incentives.

McDermott is in his fifth season at the school where he also played and he owns an 89-61 record. U-N-I has won at least 20 games each of the last three seasons and has been to two straight N-C-A-A tournaments.
The Panthers open the Missouri Valley Tournament Friday night in St. Louis against Missouri State.
