A Marshalltown man was killed Sunday in western Iowa when the pickup he was working on rolled on top of him. Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker identifies the man as 46-year-old Dennis Craighton. Danker says Craighton and a group of other men were in the Avoca area working as electrical contractors and Craighton was working on a company truck when the accident took place.

The truck was on an angled concrete pad. The man was underneath the vehicle and the brakes didn’t hold. It rolled forward and pinned him underneath of the truck. The accident occurred at around 3:30-p.m. Sunday, at the East Pottawattamie County Fairgrounds.
