Palo Alto murder case reviewed after 29 years

March 7, 2006 By admin

The opening of the new state crime lab has caused authorities in Palo Alto County to review the evidence in a 29-year-old murder case. The Sheriff’s office has started to take another look at the case involving Deb Laubenthal and Ray Henkins, both were shot in October of 1976. Two people were tried and acquitted in the case, but authorities haven’t solve the mystery of the killings.

Authorities say new lab technology, including D-N-A analysis and national databases will be used in the case, but they don’t know when any news leads will be generated.
