C-R Prairie downs Johnson in 4A tourney

In the class 4A opening round, Cedar Rapids Prairie burst out to a 23-9 lead over Johnston at the end of the first half and the Hawks cruised to a 47-33 win over the Dragons. Danielle Calef had three first half steals as Prairie set the tone with defense. She says they focused on playing good defense.

The Hawks dominated every phase as they improved to 19-5 on the season.Calef says everybody on the team contributed very well. Johnston ends the season with a record of 16-8.
