Corn plastic company planned for Clinton

March 15, 2006 By admin

A new factory is planned for eastern Iowa that’ll turn corn into something -other- than ethanol. Archer Daniels Midland plans to build a plant in Clinton that will produce what it calls a “new generation” of high-performance plastics based on the sustainable, renewable resource.

The new facility will be build beside the current A-D-M plant in Clinton. Construction should be complete in mid-2008. The company has not announced the amount of money that will be invested in the effort, nor the number of jobs it will create.
