U-N-I confident entering NCAA Tourney

March 17, 2006 By admin

The U-N-I Panthers open the NCAA Tournament this afternoon in Dayton when they take on the Georgetown Hoyas. This marks the third straight season the Panthers have played in the tournament and feels that experience has showed in preparation. Panther coach Greg McDermott says the newness when they played Georgia Tech and getting the team to settle down was a problem in that first year.

He says having an experienced team is a plus, as he says they are not in awe of the surroundings and know why they’re successfull and why they’re not.
Tip off is 1-35 Iowa time.
