Family fields entire basketball team

March 20, 2006 By admin

One name dominated the Cal Community basketball team this past season. Along with having a much-improved basketball team this past winter, the CAL community girls basketball team from Latimer had something rare: five cousins with the last name of Keehn.

The girls came from three families and all played on the varsity team. Alyssa and Kelsey are seniors, so they won’t be returning, but three Keehn’s will be back next year. Kimberly’s a junior. Anna Keehn is a sophomore. Mackinzie’s a freshman. Kelsey, Anna and Mackinsey Keehn are sisters.

Not only were the Keehn girls on the CAL roster this past season, their coach played all five Keehn girls for the final two minutes of CAL’s final game this year — making the last moments of CAL’s season totally Keehn.
