Man to do time for Sac County burglaries

March 29, 2006 By admin

A man who admitted burglarizing several Sac County businesses, then selling the stolen items on e-Bay, is sentenced to five years in prison. Nicholas James Carlson was sentenced this week in Sac County District Court after he pleaded guilty to a total of 11 different charges. Carlson was charged with nine counts of third-degree burglary, one count of second-degree theft and possession of stolen property.

Carlson’s conviction stems from a series of burglaries that occurred at businesses in Odebolt and Wall Lake during the past year. He was arrested by law enforcement authorities last September. Carlson is currently being held in the Sac County Jail awaiting transportation to the Iowa Department of Corrections.
