Many of the top high school senior wrestlers from across the state will gather in Charles City Friday night for the annual North/South All Star Meet. Hosted by the Charles City Jaycees, it is the 29th year for the All Star event.

Spokesman Darin Mitchell who says the event always features matches that did not take place during the season. He says you have kids from western Iowa that wrestle kids from eastern Iowa that they wouldn’t normally wrestle and from different classes.

The event always draws a big crowd and Mitchell advises fans to get there early. The doors open at six o’clock and he says a lot of college coaches show up to scout.
