U-N-I feels need for speed at receiver

April 7, 2006 By admin

Speed was a major factor in U-N-I’s success on the football field in 2005 and coach Mark Farley believes that will be a strength again next season even though it may not show this spring. Farley says the Panthers will become much faster when a large group of receivers join the team in August.

Farley says three of the five incoming receivers should make an immediate impact and make them comparable to what they were in the past. Farley says it is hard to replace the receivers who’re gone, but he says the new receivers will be a factor in the season.

Farley says they have some speed that’s comparable to the speed they lost. He says they’ll know that for sure in the fall. U-N-I’s spring game is April 22nd.
