Morningside softball readies for stretch run

April 10, 2006 By admin

Morningside softball coach Jessica Jones-Sitzman feels good about her team’s chances during the stretch run of the regular season. The Mustangs are 21-7 and Jones-Sitzman says her team is playing better on offense.

Morningside is 4-2 in the Great Plains Conference and is one of seven teams with two or fewer losses in the league race. Jones-Sitzman says the improved hitting is taking some of the load off a quality pitching staff. The Mustangs host Dordt College this afternoon.
