Two die in accidents in Cass County

April 10, 2006 By admin

Two residents from western Iowa’s Cass County were killed in separate accidents over the weekend. An elderly woman from Atlantic died Saturday when the Buick she was a passenger in was struck by a Ford Mustang as the Buick was turning into a shopping center driveway at 78th and Dodge Streets in Omaha. The victim was identified as 80-year Lavonne Glissman.

And, a man from Anita died early Sunday morning when the pickup he was driving went out of control west of Lewis. 24-year old Matthew James Rogers was ejected from the vehicle when it entered a ditch. Officials say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
