Body discovered in Des Moines

April 12, 2006 By admin

A person delivering papers early this morning in Des Moines discovered a body on the side of the roadway. Des Moines police department spokesman, Sergeant Todd Dykstra, says it looks like a hit-and-run. He says the initial investigation indicates that the male may’ve died as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle.

Dykstra says the dead man is of Asian descent, but they haven’t yet identified him.
He says the man appears to be in his 20’s or 30’s. Dykstra says they do have one lead. Dykstra says investigators are speaking with an individual who may be involved. Dykstra says they’re not yet identifying the person who is being questioned.
