Luther hires a new mens’ basketball coach

April 13, 2006 By admin

Luther College has named a new men’s basketball coach. Mark Frahnzen will take over the Norse program after one season as head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Before last year, Frahnzen served as an assistant coach at Wartburg from 1998 to 2004, and an assistant coach at Coe two years prior to that.

Frahnzen will also be assistant athletic director for resource development. He takes over for Jeff Olinger, who was the Norse’s head coach for the past fifteen seasons. Olinger resigned in March to pursue other professional opportunities.
