American Cancer Society offers golf pass again

Golfers can get some great deals and help a good cause again this season. The American Cancer Society is offering the Midwest Golf Pass. For 35 dollars, golfers can receive a variety of discounts at more than 500 golf courses.

Tonya Fier of the American Cancer Society who says many of the courses offer free or reduced green fees for the yearlong pass. Fier says they’ve been doing the program for 12 years and it has now branched out to other states.

Fier says the money goes to several Cancer Society programs and says you can recoup the cost of the pass in one or two uses. While each pass is 35-dollars Fier says if you buy three you can get one for free. She says some courses offer a free round, or a free cart rental. Some offer 18 holes for the price of nine.

Fier says courses in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin are part of the program. More then 500 courses are on the pass, including some private course. Fier says the passes are a great gift and you can 800-ACS-2345 and order a pass or on-line at www.cancer.org/golfpass.
