Authorities have released the names of the people involved in a fatal weekend collision between a car and a farm tractor in Sac County. The Sac County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Highways 71 and 175 about a mile north of Ulmer.
Authorities say 56-year-old Evon Gralopp of LeMars was traveling southbound Friday when his car crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and collided with a farm tractor operated by 29-year-old Jeremy Schulte of Lake View, which was traveling along the east shoulder. A passenger in the Gralopp vehicle, 55-year-old Nancy Gralopp was killed in the accident.
Evon Gralopp was pinned inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by the Lake View Fire Department. He was then airlifted to a Sioux City hospital where he’s currently listed in critical condition. Schulte, the driver of the tractor, was not injured.
