Kansas man dies in Poweshiek County crash

April 28, 2006 By admin

One man’s dead after a crash this (Friday) morning in Poweshiek County. State troopers report a Kansas man was killed in a single-car rollover on Interstate-80 just outside Grinnell. The troopers say 71-year-old Carl Schoonover of Chanute, Kansas, was driving his pickup truck westbound when he apparently veered into the median, came back onto the westbound lane but then went into the north ditch and rolled. They’re still investigating the cause of the accident.
